Heather Graves, parent of a 10th-grade student with Down syndrome

“Lindsey Williams worked with my son John, who has Down Syndrome, for 4 1/2 years at our private parochial school. Lindsey made it possible for our son to be fully mainstreamed so that he could remain with his siblings at school. John’s growth in both Reading and Math was amazing. She researched and found the appropriate programs to accelerate his growth. She also incorporated life skills like time and money management. Lindsey was also very conscientious of how important it was to continue building skills during the pandemic, lockdown, and also through the summer months away from school. I cannot say enough about the experience we had with Lindsey and how much she helped our son grow academically.”

Leisha McMahan, parent of 3rd-grade student with ADHD and Dyslexia

“We’ve known Lindsey for 2 years and she is amazing. She has an enormous amount of patience for our ADHD daughter, Sarah, who has dyslexia. She had difficulty keeping up with her assignments and also suffered from self-esteem issues related to her reading struggles. Lindsey has really helped her skills and confidence. Lindsey has extensive training and establishes a fun and easy rapport. I’m impressed and pleased with the progress our daughter has made. I can’t say enough about Lindsey. ”

Cassandra DeBellis, parent to a 10th-grade student with ADHD

“Lindsey has worked with our son, Michael for 4 years in the areas of reading, math, organization, and time management. He spent an hour each day with Lindsey when she ran a Resource Department at Saint Joseph Academy. working one-on-one with him to see that he kept up with his assignments. He struggled with staying on task, and Lindsey created strategies for Michael that helped him follow directions, balance tasks, stay on track and handle frustrations. She also instilled confidence in Michael that allowed him to grow and flourish in high-school. I am truly blessed for Lindsey’s support and guidance and highly recommend her services.”

Kristen Maxwell, Mom of 4th-grade student with Dyslexia

“I have a daughter, Alia, who is in the 4th grade and has dyslexia. We are grateful to find Lindsey, who has worked with Alia for the past 3 years. She was at a kindergarten reading level and is now reading at grade level. Her self-esteem has improved greatly, and she is a more confident student. She has found a love for reading, too. I love that Lindsey is engaged and fun, and constantly goes above and beyond. Alia sees Lindsey as a friend and looks forward to working with her every week.”

Felix Gonzales, father to 10th-grade son with Down Syndrome

Lindsey worked with our son, Mateo, from Middle School into High School, including the summer months, to help him stay academically engaged and to work on specific academic skills. Mateo has Down syndrome, and while he faces unique learning challenges, Lindsey’s compassionate and highly adaptive approach allowed him to access the same curriculum as his peers in a meaningful way.

We made the decision to transfer Mateo to a private Catholic school in San Diego North County, specifically because Lindsey would be working one-on-one with him on his academic skills and development. Her involvement was the deciding factor—as we were confident, she would collaborate with all of Mateo’s teachers and would ensure that the curriculum was thoughtfully modified to his level. With her support, Mateo was able to fully participate in classroom discussions, complete homework assignments, and engage with the academic content in a way that made him feel included and successful.

Lindsey skillfully adapted literature, reading, comprehension, writing, and even advanced math content to Mateo’s abilities while preserving the integrity of the material. She helped our son grow in confidence, develop key academic skills, and even fostered his knowledge and appreciation for the literature classics.

Our decision to enroll Mateo in Saint Joseph Academy was also guided by our desire for a faith-based education and inclusion in school sports—both which Mateo loves deeply. Lindsey’s approach supported all these goals, and her consistent communication with us and the school ensured that Mateo was truly part of the SJA community.

We wholeheartedly recommend Lindsey to any family or organization seeking a dedicated educator who understands how to meet students where they are—academically, emotionally, and personally. Her insight, creativity, and genuine care have made a positive and lasting impact on our son’s education and our family’s life.

Jeanette Street, Mom of a 3rd-grade son with ADHD and Dyslexia

“Lindsey is a rare find. We have worked with Lindsey for 3 years, and she is kind and understanding and truly has a passion for her work. She gets on the level of your child and dives deep into strategies that can foster a great environment for learning and growth. My son has done exceptionally well in all subject areas in school as a result of her tutoring. He has grown in confidence in spelling and reading, which used to be such a struggle for him. I highly recommend Lindsey!

Jodi Robertson, Mom to a 2nd-grade daughter

“Lindsey is an amazing tutor! My daughter was struggling in grammar and phonics and is now flourishing in both. Lindsey is kind, patient, and takes the time to understand each child she is working with. She is efficient with her time and an expert on connecting with your child right from the beginning. Her heart and soul are always in her work, and I can not recommend her enough!”

Amadea Martinez, Mom to a Struggling 3rd-grade daughter

“Lindsey has been an absolute game-changer for our daughter. Since kindergarten, reading had been a challenge, and despite years of effort, she continued to struggle—until Lindsey came into the picture. Through her patient, personalized, and incredibly effective approach, Lindsey helped our daughter not only catch up but surpass expectations. Her reading skills are now above the 4th-grade level, and for the first time, she truly enjoys reading.

But perhaps the most meaningful change has been in our daughter’s self-confidence. Lindsey has a gift for making children feel capable and motivated, and the results have been nothing short of amazing. She is a gem—kind, professional, and truly the real deal. We are beyond grateful for the impact she has had on our daughter’s academic journey.
